Prisme3-light cage pendant light for living room, black metal, industrial style

Pendant light bringing together three heads under a single round plate. Each head carries a black wire shade forming an open faceted cage that leaves the bulb fully visible. The light passes through the structure and casts the pattern of the cage edges onto the ceiling and walls.

An open cage does not act as a screen: unlike a solid shade, it diffuses in all directions and the source remains visible. The effect therefore depends a great deal on the bulb you choose. A low-wattage, warm-toned bulb with a visible filament gives ambient lighting and a crisp pattern of shadows; a more powerful frosted bulb will give softer general light but will tone down the graphic effect.

Above a table or a kitchen island, the three cages hung at similar heights define the dining area. In a living room, the effect of cast shadows is most visible in the evening, on a pale ceiling. In an entrance hall, the single plate groups the three light points on one ceiling outlet.
