How high should a pendant light hang above a table?
Between 70 and 80 cm above the tabletop: the table is well lit and the pendant light doesn’t hide anyone’s face.
What size pendant light for my table?
Aim for a diameter of about half the width of the table. Above a long table or a kitchen island, two or three pendant lights in a row look lovely.
And in a hallway?
Keep at least 2 m between the floor and the bottom of the pendant light so you can move around without bumping into it.
At what height should I fix a wall light?
In a living room or hallway, between 1.60 and 1.80 m from the floor: the light passes above eye level without dazzling. Above a bed, allow about 30 to 40 cm above the mattress.
Do I need an electrician to fit a wall light?
If there’s already a cable outlet on the wall, wiring it is simple: switch off the power at the fuse box, connect the wires to the terminal, then fix the wall light. If in any doubt, call an electrician.
How many wall lights do you need for a hallway?
A wall light roughly every 2 to 3 metres gives even lighting. They make a narrow hallway look wider.
Which bulb should I choose?
For a living space, warm white (2,700 K). The fitting to use (E27, E14, G9…) is listed on each product page.

About the collection

Our table lamps

Table lamps and bedside lamps in natural stone: travertine, marble, linen or fabric shades.

Bedside lamp or table lamp

A bedside lamp should light your reading without dazzling the person sleeping next to you: a warm white light and a fabric or linen shade soften the beam. A table lamp in the living room, on a console or a shelf, rather creates a point of ambient light at eye level.

Stone, marble or ceramic

Travertine and marble give weight and a mineral presence to the lamp base, glazed ceramic adds a handcrafted touch. Combined with linen, these materials create a soft, natural light.

Cordless lamps

A cordless rechargeable lamp can be moved freely: from the bedside to the dinner table, or onto a piece of furniture far from a socket. To choose well, read how to choose a bedside lamp and our guide to the table lamp for the living room.
