Our materials and the quality of light

Matières naturelles et température de lumière : ce qui fait la douceur d'une ambiance réussie.

A light is not just a source of light: it is a material, a shape and a colour temperature that, together, shape the atmosphere of a room. This page simply explains what makes our wall lights and pendant lights high quality.

Natural materials

  • Stone and travertine: a mineral material that gives off a warm, soft glow; the veining is unique to each piece.
  • Wood: a natural, warm grain, in a Scandinavian spirit.
  • Rattan and bamboo: a weave that filters the light into a play of shadows, for a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Metal: clean lines and contemporary or industrial finishes.

Colour temperature

Colour temperature, expressed in kelvins (K), changes everything. A warm light (around 2700K) creates a cosy, subdued atmosphere, ideal for the living room or bedroom. See each product page for details: fitting type, recommended bulb and recommended colour temperature.

Installation

Our lights are fitted using the hardware supplied. Switch off the power before any work; for the electrical connection, call in a professional if needed.
