Write to us
What kind of light does rattan give?
A soft, filtered light that casts graphic shadows on the walls and ceiling: the mood is instantly warm.
How do I care for rattan and bamboo?
Dust with a soft brush or the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. No water.
Can rattan handle humidity?
Avoid very damp rooms such as the bathroom: rattan prefers dry air.
How high should a pendant light hang above a table?
Between 70 and 80 cm above the tabletop: the table is well lit and the pendant light doesn’t hide anyone’s face.
What size pendant light for my table?
Aim for a diameter of about half the width of the table. Above a long table or a kitchen island, two or three pendant lights in a row look lovely.
Which bulb should I choose?
For a living space, warm white (2,700 K). The fitting to use (E27, E14, G9…) is listed on each product page.
Delivery and returns?
Delivery is free across the UK, with no minimum order. You have 90 days to change your mind, and return costs are on us.
About the collection

Our rattan & bamboo pendant lights

Woven by hand, a rattan pendant filters the light through an openwork shade that casts natural patterns on the wall and ceiling, for a bohemian, warm atmosphere.

In natural fibres such as rattan, bamboo or wicker, these pendant lights dress a living room, bedroom, dining room or entrance. Material and fitting are specified on each product page.

Our woven rattan and bamboo pendant lights bring natural fibres to the living room ceiling. You will find a Japanese-style dome, a vintage pendant with an E27 fitting and a 30 cm hand-woven ceiling light. The weave filters the light. To choose the size and style, read our rattan pendant light guide.

Why choose a rattan pendant light

Woven rattan, bamboo and wicker filter the light and cast patterns of shadow on the ceiling and walls. These natural fibres bring a soft, bohemian or Japanese atmosphere, and make a large pendant look visually lighter.

Size and height

Above a table, leave about 70 to 80 cm between the bottom of the pendant and the tabletop. In a living room, a wider rattan pendant can hang a little higher if nobody walks underneath. Our article on choosing a rattan chandelier details the right proportions.

Bulb and care

Choose a warm white LED bulb, which gives off little heat and shows off the weave: see which bulb for a rattan pendant. A feather duster or a vacuum cleaner on a low setting is enough for care, as explained in our guide to cleaning a rattan pendant.
