SolIndoor and outdoor travertine wall light, 18 W LED
Wall light made up of a flat natural stone slab lit by an 18 W LED strip. It comes in two lengths, 32 cm and 42 cm, each in an indoor or outdoor version. The lighting is linear and spread along the full length of the slab.
Cut as a slab, the stone keeps its cavities and veining: as each slab is taken from a separate block, the pattern varies from one piece to another. The LED strip spreads the light along the full length instead of concentrating it in one point, which avoids a visible hot spot and gives an even band of light.
Four configurations, two choices to make. First the length: 32 cm for a door surround or a narrow wall, 42 cm when the band of light needs to remain visible from a distance or cover a greater width. Then the use, and this is the point not to get wrong: only the outdoor version is IP65 certified, meaning it is protected against dust and water jets, which allows it to be fitted on a facade or in the open air. The indoor version does not have this protection: its electronics are not waterproof and it is for dry rooms only. If in doubt about exposure to rain, choose the outdoor version.

Installation: wall-mounted, the wall light is delivered assembled. For outdoor installation, it must be connected to a suitable, protected circuit; an electrician is recommended.
On either side of a front door, two slabs frame the doorway and light the lock without dazzling whoever is arriving. On a terrace wall, the 42 cm outdoor version fitted at seat height gives enough low light for dining outside. Indoors, along a hallway or above a worktop, the indoor version creates the same continuous band of light.

Which version for outdoors?
The outdoor version, IP65 certified against dust and water jets. The indoor one isn’t waterproof: if in doubt, choose the outdoor one.

Do I need an electrician?
Indoors, on an existing cable outlet, fitting is done with the power off. On an outside wall, an electrician is recommended.
